Another real hotbed of technology introduction is the Apache group. They are focused on a somewhat larger target than Enhydra, and their efforts are not specific to the Java platform. Web technology is a real moving target, so you'll need to check their site frequently to find new tools.

One of the Java Apache projects is ECS (Element Construction Set), which provides a much more fine-grained approach that is similar in concept to the HtmlPage class provided in the servlet utilities which have been the subject of this tutorial. If you don't like mine, you may find theirs may be a better fit for your needs.
