Enhydra XMLC

With no reservation, my opinion is that Enhydra XMLC is the best alternative to WELD. XMLC is an HTML compiler, not a template processor.

What's good about XMLC is that web page designers have to do very little in order to use it. They just need to put "id" options in the tags of the HTML elements that they want to be accessible to the Java programmer. This is the best possible isolation between the responsibilities of the web page designer and the Java programmer.

What's bad about XMLC isn't much. The previous contrast between HTML compilers and template processors explains why Enhydra XMLC is not recommended instead of WELD.
